Individual was pulled over for a traffic stop. Pill bottle with someone else's name was spotted in front seat. He was subsequently arrested for Possession of a Dangerous Drug. A dangerous drug is frequently a prescription drug that the defendant does not have a prescription for or that belongs to someone else. We discussed and pointed out to the prosecutor that it is very common for someone to pick up a drug prescription for someone else as a favor to them. In fact, most people do stop occasionally to pick a drug prescription for a spouse on someone living with. The case was later dismissed.
